Learning Music in Junior High

Met Corey when he played with Medicine Hat band One Shot Left & followed his bands after this is a standoff, torches to triggers, and the Ativans....Rest Easy Corey

🤘😔

I am so so sorry to hear this.  Corey was my first real boyfriend and a wonderful person.  He always made me laugh and had such a gentle heart.  Though we did not keep touch, I always was so grateful for our friendship and adventures together as crazy kids.  You will be missed Corey.  Deepest prayers to his family.

I met Corey about 15 years ago. Our bands were touring together and we became friends.  Corey would always come to our shows if we were in town and hang out. I reached out to him in 2018 about filling in on bass for my band. I was so happy he said yes. We played some amazing shows together and we’re roommates while on tour.  Cracking jokes, talking about life and music everyday . He told me how happy he was playing  music again and that this reignited a fire inside of him . Our last tour thru Calgary in 2019 Corey came up and played a song with us . Always the sweetest guy in the room and always a monster on stage . It was beautiful knowing you and an honor to play beside you brother

I first met Corey when I was very young, early junior high or maybe elementary. We were surprised to find each other attending church and Sunday school together, where as we grew older became an opportunity to sneak outside and smoke and talk about music and girls. When we were 14 we dreamed of buying a truck and traveling together - we had it all worked out how long to save up enough $. I loved visiting at his home and remember his family being very kind to me.

We lost touch after high school, but I’ve enjoyed keeping up on his music career and liking the odd Facebook post about what he has been up to.

I’m sad to hear of Cory’s passing; I remember him as well liked by everyone and a gentle soul. RIP Watermelon
