Cora's obituary
Cora Lee (Sidwell) Willoughby, 87, passed peacefully in her sleep on May 26, 2025 at Hartland Park Health and Rehabilitation in Lexington, KY after a long battle with dementia.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Dean Willoughby; son Donald Edward Willoughby; parents, Carrie (Agee) and Ray Sidwell; and her sister, Helen Jean (Charlie) Barclay and her husband, Raymond Earl (Dick).
A native of Richmond, KY, Cora Lee worked many years for Dr. Russell Todd as a dental assistant and for Madison National Bank and subsequent banks as switchboard operator. Her work with the public fit her outgoing personality well and she made many treasured friends over the years. She was also an active member of Rosedale Baptist Church and Anchor Baptist Church, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School.
She is survived by her daughter Toni Karpinski and son-in-law Julian Karpinski; treasured granddaughter, Rhyan Sinclair; step-grandson, Chris Karpinski; brother Pete Sidwell and wife Janie; nieces, Tammy Young and LeAnn Sauls and their families; “adopted daughter” Sidonie Ho; and several precious cousins.
