Cora “ Sue” Couch age 80

January 1 ,1945 to August 31, 2025 

Sue peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on 8-31-2025 , following a lengthy battle with Dementia, she was surrounded by loved ones to rejoice with her at her daughter’s home in Kingsport Tn.

Sue was a kingsport native . She graduated Lynn View High School Kingsport Tn .

She would marry the love of her life Lacy “Paul “ Couch on 1-1-1965 . They were married for 60 years and 8 months, together they raised their daughters Paula and Lorie. She was a homemaker for many years. She later served as the Custodian of Oak Grove Baptist church in Church Hill Tn for many Years.

She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist church. She was a born again Christian and lead many people to the Lord. She was a Godly woman , always ready to lend an ear , make jokes, provide a casserole or groceries to anyone in their time of need. She loved to serve her church Community. She enjoyed Camping , traveling, watching Red birds, playing cards, snuggling her beloved dog Lucy and shopping with family.

Grandchildren Tasha Ramsey (Karl ) , Lacy Couch , Jacob Long , and Jachin . Sister in law Patty Knowles . Nieces , Nephews , and cousins .

Special friends Jackie Tate who was her best friend since their toddler years , Patsy , Judy Kim , and Brenda. 

As her last act of love for others she donated her body to science for Dementia / Alzheimer’s research . In lieu  of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimer’s research or Oak Grove Baptist Church in Church Hill TN.

Her ashes will be returned at a later date.

She requested no services so the family is receiving family and friends this week at Paula’s home. They will also have a private celebration of life with close family and friends , contact Paula Sanders if you are interested in attending.
