Connie's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Connie Yerge, who entered into eternal peace on March 25, 2025. Born on April 17, 1961, Connie lived a full, vibrant life, leaving a wake of treasured memories for her loved ones to cherish.

Connie was a loving and devoted woman, survived by her daughters Christy(William) Hearns, Andrea(Rolland) Kavleck, granddaughters Ashley (Matthew) Slavings, Katherine Hearns, Savanna Harring, and Lisa Hearns; her grandson Dj Hearns; and her Mother Robbie Yerge. Her love for her family knew no bounds and her absence will forever be felt in their hearts.

Connie was predeceased by her father, William Yerge, and her beloved spouse, Donald Ampey. Their love story, a tale as timeless as it is enduring, serves as a testament to Connie's warm heart and loving spirit.

A proud graduate of high school from Paw Paw, MI in 1979, Connie embarked on her lifelong journey of love and fulfillment by getting married in 1980 to her high-school sweetheart Donald, to whom she 40 years side by side until his passing in 2020. Connie and Don grew their family with two beautiful daughters who then blessed them with grandchildren to follow.

Throughout Connie's life, she carried with her a love for music - notably, The Eagles, whose melodies never failed to bring a smile to her face.

Connie was an ardent fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, her passion for the team a testament to her spirit and vigor. She found delight in a myriad of recreational activities, but she was happiest when she was either at the beach or spending quality time with her family.

Her favorite vacation spot was Virginia Beach, a place she held close to her heart for its serene beauty and calming waves. She found joy in the simplest of things, a trait best embodied by her love for the color green.

Connie was deeply passionate about various causes, but notably the Wounded Warrior Project. Her empathy for others and her humanitarian spirit guided her life and inspired those around her.

As we bid farewell to Connie, we find solace in the knowledge that her love, benevolence, and zest for life will forever remain imprinted in our hearts and memories. Her legacy will live on through the lives of those she touched and loved. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
