Connie's obituary

Connie Lou LaMora (Horsley) passed away peacefully on the morning of May 25, 2025, at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice Care Center in Albany, Oregon, with family by her side. Connie was born on January 12, 1959, in Hardinsburg, Kentucky, the youngest of seven children of Harrold and Ruth (Davis) Horsley.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents of Garfield, KY; sisters Lenora Gretch of Westpoint, KY, and Glenda "Sissie" Cheatham of Irvington, KY; brothers Ronney Horsley of Irvington, KY and Dwight "Ikey" Horsley of Westview, KY.

Having recently retired, Connie took pride in this new chapter of life though she hadn’t yet shared the news with friends and coworkers. Known for a love of vacuuming and ironing quirks well understood by those close to her. Connie embraced life with joy and enthusiasm. She cherished friendships deeply and found happiness in camping, cooking, exploring the outdoors, attending events at Willamette Speedway, motorcycle riding, collecting antiques, sightseeing, and spending time with family. One of her favorite traditions was gathering former Goodwill and Kmart coworkers together for dinner on a regular basis around town.

Connie is survived by her husband Glenn LaMora of Lebanon, OR; son Jason Kohl of Jefferson, OR; daughters Chelsey LaMora of Milwaukie, OR, and Casey LaMora of Lebanon, OR; Granddaughter Savannah Roth of Albany, OR; many cousins, nieces, nephews and several adopted sons and daughters.

In accordance with Connie’s final wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes spread atop Three Fingered Jack forever watching over the Cascade Mountains and her beloved family.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her
