Connie's obituary

Connie Lynn Hacken (Johnson), of Saint Paul Park MN, passed away in her home, on May 22, 2025, at the age of 56, leaving the world just a little bit duller. Born on January 8, 1969, in Wakefield, MI, Connie lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished moments that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.

Connie was the beloved daughter of Kenneth and Wynoka Johnson, who instilled in her the values of family and resilience. She always spoke fondly of her upbringing, recalling joyous times that shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. Unfortunately, she was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Johnson, whose memory she carried with her throughout her life.

Connie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Connie shared her life with her loving husband, who remained by her side through thick and thin. Together, they created a nurturing environment for all around them.

Connie had three incredible sons: Joshua Ellsworth (Kali) of Ironwood, MI, Justin Ellsworth (Kellie) of Bessemer, MI, and one son whose name we hold dear but keep private. Connie's legacy continues through her 5 beautiful grandchildren—Jay-Lynn, Aleena, Brody, Rowan, and Lincoln—who brought her immense joy and whom she adored unconditionally.

Connie's life was interwoven with her mother, Wynoka Johnson, and her two sisters, Darlene Finch and Tonia Morrison. Together, they formed a sisterhood filled with laughter, support, and shared memories that will be cherished forever. Each family gathering was an opportunity for Connie to shine, always bringing warmth and joy to those around her.

Connie was a force of nature, known for her kindness, generosity, and a stubborn streak that kept everyone on their toes. She was the kind of person who knew how to make you laugh even when you didn't feel like it, and her sense of humor was a treasured gift to those who knew her. She loved to remind those close to her that she could "still kick their ass". Connie was the kind of person who made everyone feel like family, whether you were actually related to her or not. Her spirit and sass will be dearly missed.

Connie found immense happiness in her hobbies, particularly camping and ATVing. These activities allowed her to forge unforgettable memories with her family, enjoying the beauty of nature and the thrill of adventure. Whether sharing stories around a campfire or racing through the trails, Connie's spirit was always vibrant and infectious.

Connie will be remembered not only for her love but also for her strength and tenacity. She was a fierce protector of her loved ones, always ensuring they knew they were cherished. Her unique way of expressing love and humor will continue to resonate with all who were fortunate enough to know her.

As we bid farewell to Connie, we do so with heavy hearts but also with gratitude for the time we had with her. She taught us the importance of family, the joy of living in the moment, and the power of love. Her indomitable spirit will forever be a guiding light in our lives.

A celebration of Connie's life will be held at a later date, in her hometown of Wakefield, MI where family and friends will come together to share stories and honor the remarkable woman she was.

Connie will be deeply missed, but her love will live on in our hearts forever.

Until next time, Love you long time mom.
