We mournfully announce the passing of Concepcíon “Francis” Gómez, a kind, loving, and deeply beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. She passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, in Hialeah Gardens after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 69 years old.

Born in Cuba to Lucia and Francisco, Francis took her first breath on December 8, 1955. She was a beautiful soul who dedicated her life to her family and friends.

Professionally, she served as a home care assistant, where her naturally nurturing spirit allowed her to care for others with compassion. She was always quick to lend a hand and cared deeply for her clients.

Francis lived a full and vibrant life, surrounded by more friends than one could count. Still, her children and grandchildren meant more to her than words could ever describe.

In retirement, she devoted much of her time to making delicious flans, sewing, and knitting elaborate and beautiful dolls and blankets for her grandchildren and the relatives she loved so deeply.

Her legacy of kindness, strength, and service will live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.

Francis is survived by her loving children, Onel Mesa and Jorny Viera; Onel’s spouse, Dianna Quinteros; and her cherished grandchildren Nicolas, Sophia, and Aurelia.

Services will be held at Santa Barbara Catholic Parish on December 6th at 9:00 a.m., followed by the burial of her ashes at Vista Memorial Gardens at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation toward her memorial and burial services.
