Colton James Abbott, passed away on September 6th 2022, in Sandstone Minnesota. (1989-2022)

Friends and Family,

On September 6th, our beloved Colton went to help a friend who had stated she was in a dangerous domestic situation. Because of his big heart he put himself in harms way, and the domestic violence turned on him and he was shot. He was driven to Sandstone hospital where despite the efforts of the Dr.’s, he passed away shortly after arriving. The man who shot him was arrested and has been charged with second degree murder. For our families sake and on our brothers behalf, we hope justice will be served.

It is because of his always caring nature, and the desire to help others that his life was cut so short. Because of this he will always be our hero. He is now in the hands of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The viewing will be from 4-6pm on Monday, followed by a short service from 6-6:30. Close family will then leave in processional to the burial site from 6:45-7:30 (immediate family, aunts, uncles, and cousins).
