I remember going on a surf trip with Colin,  we drove from San Diego to Baja and along the way passed a  tamale stand.  This led to Colin singing (often as loud as he could) “Hot tamales, hot tamales get them while they are hot!!”  It was a good trip, fun waves great food fireworks, beautiful scenery and of course just as you thought you were about to fall asleep under the stars….”hot tamales!” As much as we wanted to be annoyed it was pretty funny. He must have been about 12 at the time. Just a fun goofy kid.
