There was a memorial service held by his brothers and fellow firefighters at F.E. Warren AFB on February 8 . Cody's family (who traveled from Texas, Alabama, and other parts of Colorado) gathered afterward to release signed balloons to honor him with their own memorial. There will be an additional memorial service for Cody in June. Friends and family will be contacted for the exact date and location. The family would also like to thank all of those who have reached out with incredible kindness and prayers during this extremely painful time.

He is survived by his son Colton Dewaine Marion of Severence, Colorado, father Ronald Marion of Denver City, Texas, mother Connie Bronniman and Weston Bronniman of Windsor, Colorado, sister Kasey Atkinson and Dyal Atkinson of Gunnison, Colorado and sister Kendra Marion of Denver City, Texas, along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
