Cody's obituary
Cody's life began in a small town in west Texas (Denver City) where he grew up on a family farm doing the things any mischievous, red-headed freckle faced boy would do. Cody developed a love for basketball and found a talent for playing the trumpet where he would continue to excel into his college days. Cody enlisted in the Air Force where he would serve as a firefighter on several military bases including: Peterson AFB, Schriever AFB, Maxwell AFB, and F.E. Warren AFB. Cody's career in the military and as a civilian firefighter spanned almost 20 years where he became very accomplished, winning numerous awards for his outstanding duty. Cody had a great love of friends and family. Anyone who knew Cody, discovered quickly his love of laughter and quick wit. Cody enjoyed many outdoor activities ranging from hiking, biking, camping, and perhaps his greatest joy of fishing. He left a lasting impression as a caring friend with anyone who knew him for an extended time. Cody will leave a legacy of laughter and love for his friends and family to carry for the rest of their lives. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
