I first met Cody when I started as an intern at Intel. We didn't get a chance to interact a whole lot for about the first 6 months we worked together but when we started talking, we realized how well we got along with each other. I've never met anyone who shared the exact sense of humor as me. After we began working closely together, we began our own betterment rituals together. Code reviews, talking about design, taking our death marches around the Folsom campus. After some time, I ended up organizing a D&D session and invited Cody. I was the only person in the group with any real experience and took some time helping everyone in the group familiarize themselves with the rules and character. I got to see something magical happen with Cody, he developed a passion for it. I've never seen someone consume as much source material as fast. Eventually the reserved Cody surprised us all when he began roleplaying as his very assertive character. Eventually Cody and Sarah moved to the Bay Area, but Cody still wanted to meet up and play with the group. Somehow he convinced Sarah to go to "the bins" with my wife while we all played together. Somehow around this time Sarah was even able to stage a surprise session at their apartment on his birthday under the pretext of having my wife come over to go to "the bins" with her. We have been playing roughly once a month for over 4 years now. Me moving across the country never stopped him from wanting to play together and continue being one of my best friends. The last time I had the opportunity to see Cody was at my wedding. He agreed to be one of my groomsmen. I'm so glad to have my last memories of him be such a special time and see him still enjoying life. It breaks my heart knowing that I won't see him on skype, ready to play and that I won't be able to participate in another "visit to the bins" to surprise visit him.

Cody & Sarah flew me out to CA during my first college spring break and again when I graduated undergrad. Cody was adventurous and always planned out many excursions with Sarah to all do together when I visited. He was always up for anything and liked being out and enjoying life.

I had the pleasure of being roommates with Cody (and Sarah) my sr year of college. They gave me a home when I had no where else to go. I will always remember when I was having a bad day Cody went and got Sarah and I food from all our favorite places in one sitting. Cody was the type of person who would do anything for you. You will truly be missed old friend.

My condolences to hear about Cody’s passing. We worked together at Postmates X, and I will always remember him for his tenacity and easy going nature. He was a great colleague and a great person. Rest in peace.
