Clint's obituary

Clint Wayne Eastman of Lehi, UT, adored husband, father, son, brother and friend, passed away Sunday July 1, 2018, at the age of 39, after a 15-month battle with colon cancer.

Clint is survived by his wife Kimberley, their children Ashton, Lilly and Jamieson, his mother Teri, father Larry, brothers Greg, Jeff (Julie), Rick, Chad (Kimberly), sisters Amber Wardell, Lori Frost (Allen) and 24 nieces and nephews.

Clint was born on July 7, 1978 in Lakeside, AZ where his father owned a log cabin construction company. When Clint was 5, his family moved to the Dallas, TX area where his father took a job working commercial construction. Clint graduated in 1996 from Marcus High School in Flower Mound, TX and then moved to Utah where he attended BYU. Clint then served an LDS mission in Cordoba, Argentina.

Upon return from his mission, he took a job as an Output Manager with Kiddie Kandids, a children’s portrait studio, where he traveled the country maintaining photo printers and other hardware. He met his future wife, Kimberley Biela, while visiting the Spokane, WA studio. Clint was transferred to Denver, CO for a short time and convinced Kim to tag along.

After returning to Salt Lake City together, Clint and Kim were married on July 26, 2003. Their first child Ashton was born on September 20, 2004. They then welcomed Lilly on November 7, 2011 and Jamieson on December 2, 2016. They raised their family in Lehi, UT.

For the past 8 years, Clint worked for Goal Zero, a portable solar power company, overseeing customer service and sales operations. He helped take the company from a small start-up to a multimillion-dollar operation and was greatly respected for his hard work and dedication.

Clint was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017. He was a fighter, he fought the cancer with all his might and remained positive and optimistic that he would conquer the disease. Clint’s team members at Goal Zero were some of his biggest supporters as he battled cancer. The team organized a 5k to raise funds to assist with travel and medical expenses.

There were many others that supported Clint in his fight with cancer. Lilly’s friend took it upon herself to sell lemonade and donated all proceeds to Clint. His neighbors organized a benefit concert that raised even more funds. Clint left a lasting impression on others and was truly grateful for those that rallied around him.

Although he continued to work until the very end, Clint still made the most of the last year of his life by spending time with his family and creating memories. This past April, Clint took his family and his mom to Hawaii. Clint considered that one of his best family trips. He took Ashton on a road trip to Yellowstone in May and took Lilly to San Francisco in June. With the help of his brothers, Clint transformed the yard of his home by installing a basketball hoop, in-ground trampoline, swing set and sandbox, to create an environment where his children would be able to grow and build memories together with Kim.

Clint was an amazing man and will be sorely missed. His kindness, hard work, dedication, sense of humor and loving personality has left a lasting impression with all those who have had the pleasure to know him. We love and miss you Clint!

Services will be held on Thursday, July 5th, beginning at 9 AM with a viewing at 531 W 3200 N, Lehi, UT 84043, followed by a service at 10 AM. Graveside service will follow at Highland City Cemetery 6200 W 11000 N Highland, UT 84003.
