Our beloved family member Clifton passed away suddenly due to a blood clot caused by a rare blood disease "Hemophilia" and severe pneumonia in the upper part of his lungs. Clifton was found unresponsive on the floor by his mother on May 2nd 2020. She preformed CPR until paramedics arrived. Clifton was taken to McClaren hospital in Flint Mi where he was placed on life support. After preforming several tests Clifton was declared completely brain dead by medical professionals. Doctors stated that Clifton was unable to live without the life support and at this point Clifton still had not regained consciousness. As days went by there was absolutely no change in Cliftons status. Clifton was an organ donor so doctors preformed more tests to make sure that his organs were good for donation. On May 8th Clifton was honored by McClaren hospital with a donor walk through the hospital. As they wheeled Clifton through the halls of the hospital medical staff lined the hallways to show their respect to him, Ann Arbor "Gift of Life" hospital awaited outside McClaren hospital for Clifton to take him for his donation since they had organ recipients lined up. Clifton was able to donate his lungs, heart, kidneys, and liver saving the lives of others. On May 8th the hardest decision our family has ever had to make was to take Clifton off of the life support and let him go home to heaven were he could be reunited with loved ones that had passed prior to him. Along with this unexpected great tragedy of losing Clifton our family has endured a build up of expenses. With everything going on with the covid and money already being tight we dont normally have to reach out for a helping hand, but at this time the seemingly nonstop building of expenses growing our family is asking for help with getting these expenses paid. There are expenses for travel to bring Clifton's father and siblings from out of state, medical, cremation and memorial are just some of the expenses our family is trying to cover in this time of tragedy. Our family would like to thank you all for all your prayers and any help we may receive. We would like to also pray that nobody has to ever endure a tragedy like this and good health to all.
