LaMar and I were schoolmates at VUU. LaMar would "bang" on my ground floor dorm window early in the morning so that he could use my meal ticket on days when I did not go to breakfast.
LaMar, Pierre Ames, Roy Cameron, "Rab", and many others were a tight bunch that made life on campus fun and interesting.
To Pat, Camad and Family of Clifford Lamar Hembree We were saddened by the loss of Clifford, a faithful husband and devoted father to Camad. May you, Camad and family find strength and comfort in the days ahead. "Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted." The Boulware Family
My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Lamar. He was a dear friend of my brother Pierre Ames. They met their freshman year at Virginia Union University and remained close friends throughout the years. Lamar was a kind, loving and cheerful person always with a big smile and encouraging word. He was a great friend to my entirely family and will be deeply missed. Evangeline Ames aka Vangy

To each of us is a season. Some of us are taken too soon and before any of us can prepare to say goodbye. For us our precious and remarkable Clifford Lamar Hembree is one we have lost too soon. He was a cherished son, husband , father and friend to so many. I join the family in this time of mourning- “Hembree” was my friend in college and in life. He will be missed and has to be honored and celebrated for being the stellar human being we all shared over the years- his humor and humanity cannot be replaced. It was my honor to be considered his friend and my sincere condolences are extended to the family. Shirley Higgins Bowers
