Rev. Clifford Jayson Adkins, 37, of Wayne, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne with Pastor Toney Cox and Angel Fry officiating. Burial will follow at Adkins Cemetery, East Lynn, WV. He was born July 14, 1983 in Huntington, a son of the late Clifford Jay and Teresa Ann Adkins. Jayson was an Ordained Minister with Christian Global Outreach Ministries. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Julis “Jube” and Elizabeth “Libby” Adkins and Persie and Ida Adkins, two uncles, Kenneth and Kermit Adkins, as well as his aunt, Tammy Richardson. Jayson is survived by a special aunt, Christi Adkins of Wayne, WV; three uncles, Randy Adkins of Wayne, Archie (Debbie) Adkins of Palestine, WV and Wetzel (Bonnie Jean) Adkins of Wayne; three additional aunts, Laura Hager of Chesapeake, OH, Edith Adkins of Proctorville, OH and Lessie (Keith) Chapman of Kenova, WV; seven cousins, Justin Adkins, Christopher Adkins, Zachary Taylor Adkins, Jodi Childers, Kelsea Adkins, Kelly Ray Davis and Scott Davis; and several friends too numerous to mention. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne.
