Clark's obituary

Clark Stone, age 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Friday, July 12, 2024. 

Clark was born on May 23, 1935 in Detroit Michigan to Gladys and Herbert Stone. Clark was an only child, but was never short on friends that were like family to him.

Clark met the love of his life, Kay, at 19 years old, while playing baseball for her father.  He married his childhood sweetheart, on October 29, 1960. Kay proceeded Clark in death just 4 short years ago and he missed her dearly every day that passed.

Clark Attended Walsh college and studied accounting. He worked for Consolidated Lumber Company from the time he was 16 until he retired. He had worked his way up from loading trucks to becoming the company’s book keeper.

Clark loved his family and friends, sports, and numbers. He was a talented athlete and loved baseball, bowling, hockey, golf and cards. Clark also loved travel, and became actively involved with The Village Travelers on the many trips Kay planned.

Clark’s greatest joy was his family, especially his  grand kids and great grand kids. They are the ones that truly made him smile.

Clark is survived by his daughter Sherri Blue (Stone) husband John Blue, grandsons, Michael Blue and Fiancé (Bri Jolly) and Alec Blue and wife Gabby. His daughter Julie Rogers (Stone) husband Paul Cornillie and grandchildren Sean Cornillie and wife Kayci North, Brendan Rogers and wife, Brytt Rogers (great grandchildren Blake and Brody), Austin Rogers and wife Morgan Rogers (great grandchildren Finn and Theo), and granddaughter Megan Ferguson and husband Mike Ferguson.

A Celebration of Life is planned for September 21, 2024 at 11:00 am
