My Aunt Clara was one of the greatest aunts anyone in this world would want. She was always smiling and happy all the time. As a child I remember when her and my Uncle Edwin (Ed) and the children would visit us in Princeville, North Carolina and we would have the best of times. Being a large family we were happy to see them come because things got a little better just because Aunt Carla and the family was coming to visit for a week or so. Mom and Dad would always put their best foot forward for their visit and I mean it was great. Since Aunt Clara was a nurse she would always bring something to give us and do little things to help us better care for ourselves. She was very big on doing things for your health and trying to stay healthy. I remember one year after their return from vacationing with us Aunt Clara started a monthly fruit basket thing for us from one of the companies like Harry and David. Of course as time went by and we all got a little older the visits got shorter. However, even though things were moving into different directions for everyone she was always there to help whenever she could with a big SMILE. My Aunt Carla was truly a GIVER and not a RECEIVER. Over the years there were other visits of joy and happiness. Prior to the pandemic my brothers and I drew up a pack that we would visit our auntie and cousins each year. We would drive to San Antonio to help Aunt Clara with anything she needed done in and around her house. However, somewhere midway in between getting things done she would call us into a room where she had these ties and pocket squares and ask us to pick out a tie and a square. This happened every trip we made to San Antonio. Each time after our visit over the past two years prior to the pandemic she would give each of us a envelope and ask that we not open it until we get out of the state of Texas. Additionally, she or Dita would always have something prepared for the trip back home for us. She shared her bayleaves and persimmons and in exchange we were we always asked if there was anything they needed from North Carolina. There is a lot more I could say about such a WONDERFUL, SHARING, CARING, and BEAUTIFUL aunt and she will be surely missed. Some day we will meet again. Auntie do rest in PEACE your nephew Leon known as Snooky.

Dear Freeman family...
Please except my sincerest condolences for the loss of Sister Freeman. She was always an amazing example to me and to all. I look forward to the day when we will see her again - Acts 24:15
Dear Sister Freeman, I would like to express my condolences and also that you are both in my prayers and that Jehovah will carry you through this time, remember the account of Psalm 118:5 “ I called on Jah in my distress; Jah answered and brought me into a place of safety. ” with this in mind knowing he is close to us, we definitely look forward to seeing your mom one day very soon
I wish I had talked to Clara more about some of her experiences in life, to find out more about where she came from and what made her the person she became. Fortunately we know we will see her again , so the lesson I learned is to try to talk more to cool people like Clara everyday and ask them where they came from.

I learned a lot of valuable lessons about life from grandma. The biggest lesson is to never envy its ok to go without, and if you want something to work for it. Always have self discipline and be discreet with what you do. You will be greatly missed grandma freeman. Preciate all the memories couldn't have asked for better role model.

While I did not know Clara on a deep personal level, she had many qualities I admired.

She always carried herself in a most dignified and elegant way. She genuinely loved people and never met a stranger. She was always positive and cheerful even if she didn't feel her best, and even those times, she still stepped out in elegant style. It's obvious she had a great deal of self-respect, which is often lost in these modern times.

My mother had the privilege of meeting her once. Clara looked at mom and said "Oh, we must be about the same age" in a very cheerful tone. My mother looked at me very curiously, with raised eyebrows. I just smiled. It turns out my mother is 20 years younger than Clara. That realization made my heart smile because it was obvious Clara saw herself as a vibrant and sassy lady and much younger at heart than her physical years! Again, another admirable quality. She was truly a gem to all who knew and loved her.

With love and deep sympathy,
John 5: 28, 29

My family was bless to cross paths in our lifetime with our dear friend Clara. It has been an honor to have known her. She followed her heavenly Father Jehovah by her unrelenting love, care and giving . She has been an excellent example to remember and imitate. When she wakes up in the new system my family will say to her “Welcome Home Precious!”

Dearest Dita and Leila, your Mama, Sister Clara, holds a very special place with our family. There is so much that I can say, I will give you my top three:
1. Remember her voice and inflection as you imagine her admonishing me to remember Isaiah 25:9
2. Her Mama Bear hugs!
3. Our shared love of hats.
May you feel the love of your worldwide brotherhood, May that comfort you, and May Jehovah strengthen our hope that we will see our sister Clara again soon!

We have so many fond memories of Clara! From walking into the Kingdom hall and always seeing Clara with her beautiful hats all glammed up and her beautiful smile to always looking for her at the assemblies and finding her eating her lunch! But the most impactful memory was when Bill had his accident back in 2011 and how determined she was to come to our home to make sure we had homepathic remedies to help him heal faster and yall bought Bill that camel back so he can drink water when needed since he couldn't use his hands. Clara was so worried about making sure Bill got to all his Doctors appt that she insisted on us taking a $100.00 gift card for gas money. (Lol) We were so blown away by her generosity and love that you both shown us that that will forever be etched in our minds! Clara was one of kind and Bill and I loved stopping over to her house after service and visiting with Clara, hearing her many stories and always leaving with a jar of jam! Our favorite! SHE will be Missed....but Not for Long! We love you All.

I was first introduced to the kind and loving person of Grandma Freeman through Mrs. Josephine. I was in great need of a sponsor in order to continue my schooling and Jehovah used a wonderful woman -Grandma to offer all her credentials on my behalf, a complete stranger to her at that time,in order that I can continue my schooling. Just because I was a servant of Jehovah she showed me the true meaning of unfailing love. I and my parents were so shocked and grateful and we will never forget the unfailing trust she bestowed on us. Grandma was a generous kind loving and faithful woman. Attributes she passed on to her beautiful, kind hearted and very humble daughters. A health enthusiast she never stopped encouraging me to 'take good care' of my self and my children and give them vitamins to promote good health something she did faithfully. Grandma I truly cherish now more than ever our conversations these past few months. The spirit you showed, exemplify the joy that come from Jehovah's spirit. And I am forever grateful to have met you. I can't wait to see you in the paradise ma . Love you-chichi

She’s the only Grandma that my family knows since the first day we came into USA from Africa in year 2000 October, as a refugee, she was very gracious and a wonderful grandma, the one used by Jehovah God to be a helper an adviser and a provider in perilous times, we surely missed your sincere words always spoken with graciousness. We will definitely see you again in PARADISE that God promised.

Sister Clara was a special person in my life. From the day Dana introduced us, Sister Clara showed me, my family, and my mom true love. She always gave a witness and would tell me the importance of attending the meetings with my children. I will always remember her words of wisdom, her smile, and her love. I look forward to seeing her in Paradise. I thank Jehovah for blessing me by having her in my life. I pray for the Freeman family to find peace and comfort in Jehovah's word.
Sending my love,
Lisa Jones
