My condolences to the family. I haven’t seen Claire since childhood. Her family lived next door to me in Edenwald Projects. I have memories of her that I will never forget. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing.

I am so sorry to learn of Ms. Hamilton's passing.
I had the honor of interviewing Ms. Hamilton at her home in early December 2022 about the life and legacy of her great-grandfather Friday Hamilton. Despite the fact that she was very ill, she was lovely, incredibly hospitable, and so full of life.
Ms. Hamilton put her heart & soul into preserving her family's history. Generations to come will learn of the struggles, sacrifices, and contributions of formerly enslaved people from her efforts.
Rest in peace Ms. Hamilton!

Sending my condolences to all. I just watched the Celebration of Life and it was truly a beautiful celebration. I am grateful to have known Claire. I am grateful for her kindness in welcoming my sister into her family, and for welcoming me. I also remember beautiful family celebrations together at Thanksgiving and at New Year's with family and summer vacation at that farm in Massachusetts!

My sincere condolences to Claire's family. I first met Claire when she came to work at Weichert Realtors as a real estate agent. She was my mentee, and she always had a smile for everyone, positive attitude and a willingness to learn. After she retired from the business, she was still interested in getting information about the market and said she was happy to hear from me. She was such a sweet lady with a gentle way about her - I know she will be missed terribly. Sending my love and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of my cousin Claire. I am sad that the Lord has decided to take her home to be with all of our family that has gone before her. Even though I did not get to know her until I was older, I really loved her interest in researching our family history. She was so proud of me for taking that step along with her last year by doing my own DNA. As I told her daughter I am going to continue that research on our family history that cousin Claire started. Love you Cousin Claire and I know that everyone in our family awaits her with open arms.

I was so very sad to learn of the news of Claire's passing. She was my admin/office manager at Ernst & Young years back, and she was beautiful, warm and incredibly caring to those she managed. Her memory lives on in so many of us who had the honor and pleasure of working with her.

Dear Keith and Karyn,
I met your beautiful Mother while traveling to London and Paris. We were roommates and had such a great time together I wished she could be my roommate forever in all my travels. She was so funny, loving, caring and such a classy lady! My deepest sympathy to you both and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Sincerely, Paula Douglas

Dear Claire,
When I first joined the Hamilton clan, you were most gracious and kind to me; these qualities of yours will always color my thoughts of you.
Over the years we shared many family gatherings and outings, including the annual holiday meals. My sister Cheryl recalls “ I have fond memories of sharing Thanksgiving together at her home.” Every year you worked your magic and managed to fit an astonishing number of friends and neighbors and family and pups into your apartment.
I also recall sharing meals that were just the two of us, or we two plus Karyn or plus Ann: at the food court of The Westchester, City Lights, La Fontana, the tea shop in Tarrytown…. On occasions like these, I enjoyed the wisdom of your rich life experiences and the warmth of your presence.
As mentioned by your daughters, you made family a priority - both in the present and from the past. During COVID, it was my honor to facilitate a family Zoom with you in which we all played a guessing game to learn more about the Hamilton-Hill website. That virtual gathering was a very small recognition of one of your very great legacies to the family.
A special memory I have is from my first years of being in the family: Vernon had gathered a bunch of us at “The Canoe Lake” in Harriman, and you joined me in a 2-person kayak for a paddle across Sebago. I was honored to have your company and glad we could develop a friendship.
Dear Claire, thank you for your love and support throughout the years. I love you, I always will.
