Cindy Thompson, 57, of Macon, MO, passed away on February 27, 2023 after a long battle with COPD and various health issues.

Cindy was born on March 2, 1965 to Lois Inskip and Richard Thompson in Denver, CO and was raised by Lois and Charles Walker. Cindy attended school primarily at Macon R-1. Cindy had 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren. Her life was always a fun and exciting journey centered about her kids and grandkids in her last years. We will miss her greatly.

Cindy was predeceased by biological father Richard Thompson, infant sister Maryanne Thompson, unborn grandson Shawn Stevens and all maternal and fraternal grandparents. She is survived by parents Charles and Lois Walker, daughters; Tanajia Douglas of Columbia, MO, Carma Palmer and her husband Shannon of Cairo, MO and Teia Stevens of Moberly MO. Six grandchildren; Kenneth Douglas, Laila Douglas, Cameron Palmer, Dravin Stevens, PatsyJane Douglas, Levi Palmer. Siblings;  Anton Thompson-Jenkins, Rick Walker, Teresa Walker, Jerome Thompson and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other family.

There will be a celebration of life Saturday March 4th, at Macon County Fairgrounds Flywheel Building. Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm. If you ride a MOTORCYCLE please plan on riding through and revving your engines at 7pm. There will be a party from 7-10pm with DJ Rick Walker spinning tunes. Food will be provided, but feel free to bring a covered dish. Contact Joanne Mitchell or family to coordinate if you plan on bringing something. Please come out and celebrate Cindy with her family in the way she wanted!
