Cindy's obituary

Cindy L. Ferris, age 69, passed away peacefully in her home on December 2nd, 2024. She was born on March 28, 1955, in Orange County, CA, to Ward Wallace Ramey and Christal Virginia Potts but spent the majority of her life in Las Vegas, NV, working as the marketing director for various casinos, including the last 20+ years at Jerry's Nugget Casino.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and loving wife who cultivated beauty and meaning through tradition and thoughtful gestures. Her greatest joy came from watching her children and grandchildren grow and fulfill their aspirations in life.

As her family grew, so did her efforts to bring everyone together—coordinating unforgettable trips, from the Montana wilderness to the Oregon coast—moments that will remain cherished memories for the rest of our lives. Her love for her family was limitless, and she made each of us feel like we were her greatest treasure.

Nature was her source of peace and inspiration. She cherished hiking with her husband, David, and their loyal dogs, Birdie and Cleo, as well as tending to her garden. Her love for flowers and gardening reflected her nurturing spirit, and she poured her creativity and affection into everything she grew. When not outdoors, she could often be found lost in a good book.

She was a designer at heart, a trait that extended beyond her career into every aspect of her life. Her home was a tribute to her creativity, and her personal projects carried her unique touch. Whether pairing her photography with haikus or cultivating a home full of beauty and sentiment, her creations were filled with heart and meaning.

Her strength, warmth, and kindness left an enduring impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Though she is no longer with us in person, her love and wisdom remain as a constant reminder to cherish one another and the precious moments we share.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband, David; her son, Terry, and his wife, Camyll; her daughter, Katie, and her husband, Chris; her grandchildren, Tyler and Kayln; and her three sisters, Kandy, Robben and Jaki. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
