From this union was born their only son (Honcho) Wayne Anderson. In 1970 after Ronald was honorably discharged from the Army. While in search of necessary medical care for Wayne, the family relocated to the US to New York City and in September 1971 their second child (Charlie) Crystal Renee Anderson was born. For some unknown reason, Ronald had an affinity for names of endearment.
Tina and Ronald were able to secure an apartment at the South Bridge Towers at 333 Pearl St, located in downtown Manhattan on the outskirts of the Wall Street financial district. Tina and Wayne still lived together as she cared for Wayne until her passing. While residing at South Bridge Towers, Tina and Ronald quickly became well known in the surrounding neighborhood for their exciting parties and social gatherings. From the security guards in her building to the residents, food stores, convenience stores, banks, bus drivers, eateries, offices and flower shops in the area, she was lovingly regarded as the undisputed Mayor of the Neighborhood! People loved Tina and her family tremendously. Without a formal education, without dependable employment, and even through challenges with reading and writing, her resilience and tenacity to survive allowed her to provide for herself and her family for decades.
Tina worked in a domestic capacity and as a care taker of the elderly in her building and neighborhood. Her neighbors absolutely loved her and looked out for her wherever and whenever they could. She will be sorely missed. Her humor, loving spirit and true loyalty made her one of the most genuine, authentic and sincere friends you could find. Her commitment to her friends and family was unquestionable and her love for people shown through her giving and acts of kindness are, and forever will be simply unforgettable.
