thank you for teaching me all about love. my entire being is aching, and my heart has never hurt so much. you were such a huge part of my life— you taught me about music and art. you showed me how to put on makeup, took me to my first concerts (group love, portugal. the man, yuna), introduced me to some of my favorite songs and artists in the whole world, started my love for thrifting and jewelry making, and always always supported me in all things artsy. I’ll reminisce on all the times you dropped me off at school and picked me up from afterschool with jade and jungle (our pugs), our crafting nights, beach days, and weekly dinners at ông ngoại‘a (grandpas) house. I miss your voice so so much. I’ll hold all of your voicemails, letters, handmade jewelry and crocheted gifts extra tight.

I wouldn’t be me today, without you. you showed me what it is to be human, to make mistakes, to forgive, to feel deeply and care deeply about people, to pick yourself back up when things aren’t easy, and to just try your damn best.

I miss you. I love you so so much. rest in paradise my sweet sister. you passed too soon but we’ll meet again someday.
