I've known Tim Farmer since college, but I only got to know Christy in recent years because my son plays baseball with Tim's oldest, Henry. I've met a lot of parents in my lifetime, but few shine as brightly as Christy Farmer! Always warm and friendly, fun to talk to, and an energy that undeniably shows she cares about everyone in her life! I will miss seeing her at the games, and I recently shared with Tim that he really won the Mom lottery (I know he knows that). I was not surprised in the slightest that the memorial was standing room only. It's a testament to the life she led, and more importantly, to the lives she's impacted in such a positive and meaningful way. We heard her famous line she would share before games, "be a star today!" If there is one star, that star is Christy Farmer! So next time you look up at the stars, think of Christy and the impact she had on your life!
With every piece of needlepoint I hold, I feel the memory of you. I will miss you, dear friend.
St. Brendan Church was standing room only today, a tribute to a lovely, fun lady who we all miss.  The day was beautiful, as was she.   She was a joy to know.

Don and I are so very for the passing of Christy. She was a very warm and loving person who welcomed not only Don and I but my entire family. We shall miss her deeply.
Christy is one of the nicest people I have ever met — I have known her since I was 19 or so — I am now 76

Christy had this beautiful personality that made you feel that seeing you was the highlight of her day.  I will miss her warm smile.  Sending my condolences to the Farmer family.
Christy always had a smile on her face and always brought a smile to mine whenever I got to interact with her. My mom greatly enjoyed her as well. Sending my love to the Farmer family, and remembering a wonderful matriarch 🙌🙌🙌
Love and prayers from the Champi family.  ❤️

Christy was a joy to know. I’m thankful our paths crossed. Rest in peace Christy

From the moment I met Christy when the girls started Marlborough together, I knew she would be one of the fun moms! No one could light up a room or event like she did! It always brightened my day when I’d see her, as I soaked up her energy and laughter. I send much love to you all as you miss, but embrace,  that wonderful happy energy and memories of all that was Christy.
Sending our deepest condolences to the Farmer Family. Christy was such a warm and welcoming person. We always enjoyed spending time with her when we would visit LA. May her memory be a blessing. With much love- The Frerotte Family
We are so sorry for the loss of Christy. She will be missed by so many people. The UCLA basketball games will never be the same for me. It was such a joy going and catching up on each other’s lives, during the game and half time! My heart breaks for George and the whole family, who loved Christy so much.
I was so sad to hear of Christy’s passing. I got to know her and George and Danny when I worked for UCLA Athletics and they were also so kind. Danny and George are in the UCLA Hall of Fame but Christy was the star of the family. My condolences to you all.
Our deepest sympathies to the family. Prayers for peace and comfort.

Rest In Paradise Christy. You took good care of George ( the Phantom) for a lotta years. 1969 was a great year. Seems like it was yesterday. God has blessed you. See you in your new home. …..Coop

I learned to needlepoint from Christy. Wish I could have learned her patience when my stitches needed pulling out and restitched
In response to "What did you learn from Christy?"

Everyone in our family was very sad to hear about Christy’s passing.  We all have very fond memories of you and Christy.   Christy was always so warm and welcoming to us.  She was definitely blessed with a very special spirit and will be missed.

Mary Hartman, Dick Duncan and Peggy Maine.

George, we are so sad. I have known Christy since I was 10. Needless to say there are no words
