Chris's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Christy "Chris" Chapman, who went to be with the Lord on May 27, 2024, just a day shy of her 61st birthday. Born on May 28, 1963, Chris was widely known for her wit, kindness, generosity, care, and love.
In her life, Chris cherished planning holiday events, from the decorations to the menu. She made each year memorable, which became an important part of her family's life. Counted among her many accomplishments were her exceptional skills in gardening and cooking. Her gardens stood as a gentle reflection of her patient and caring spirit while her culinary talents lovingly gathered those closest to her in countless, cherished meals.
Chris embraced a profound love for exploring the world. She graced the most breathtaking destinations, from the allure of France to the enchantment of Hawaii, and nearly every corner of the United States. Yet, amidst her travels, her heart found solace at the beach, where she discovered tranquility and inner harmony. Her greatest dream was to feel the sand beneath her toes, encircled by the warmth of her beloved family.
She dedicated her life to the happiness and well-being of her children and grandchildren, who will always remember her as the best Mom, Grandma, and Grammy. The void left by her passing will also be felt by her sweet Schnauzers, who lost not just an owner, but a true friend in Chris.
She is survived by her husband, Reese Chapman, her daughter, Kayla Parino, her son, Aaron Parino, her mother, Regina Walker, and her siblings, Rainy Dyer, Kevin Stewart, and Andy Stewart.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established for a "Celebration of Life" in Chris' honor. Interested parties are encouraged to contribute at the following URL:
