As a clerk in the Scotland county clerks office, I worked with Chris for many years. He was a very genuine man who truly loved his family and the Lord. I considered him a friend. I will always remember every St. Patrick’s Day for the entire day he would talk with an Irish accent even in the courtroom. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Chris was a very good met man. I worked with him on the police department in Ashville Ohio. He was always there when I needed someone to talk to. Always thought of him as a brother I never had. Going to miss you brother.

I am so sorry for your loss Chris Wood was a awesome attorney to work with when I worked in Scotland County he always had a smile on his face.  He had so many kind words and deeds he did it is hard to give just one.  I know he will be missed by all.

Please know we are praying for your family. Chris was always a special person and I’m thankful our families have stayed in touch. We’ve reminisced on all the memories of being next door neighbors for years in Laurinburg. Hugh and I are so thankful for the season in life we shared with Chris. He has always been such a genuine person and friend.
To say this is Shocking is an Understatement. Sensie was such a huge figure in my life growing up. He was a role model and taught me many life lessons that I still hold on to. I am quite sure my life would have never been the same without him in it. I am beyond words and crying with you and your family. Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences. I am confident to say that we know who he gave his heart to because he told us and taught everyone about him, Jesus. We will surely see him again in glory and that gives us hope. There is no body like Sensie and never will be and I am happy to have known him and learned from him for as many years as I was blessed to have known him.
I am very sorry for your loss! I worked with Chris for many years before he left Laurinburg. He was a kind, humble and good person. In between cases, we would chat about horses and our families. He was an excellent mentor and will be missed. God bless and keep you all!

Sadden to hear of Sensei's passing. He was a remarkable man and truly loved his family. I am thankful he shared his talent and passion of martial arts with our community as it gave me a way to further spend time with my daughter. We often talk about how much we miss the class.  Prayers be with you.
I did not know Mr. Wood personally, since I am only his daughter-in-law’s best friend, but I did meet him at Caleb and Taylor’s wedding. I was thrilled to see that my friend was marrying into a truly wonderful and fun family. Despite not knowing Mr. Wood well, I did gather that he was a sweet and genuine man who loved the Lord and his family very much. I did not have to spend much time around him to figure that out. His kind face reflected that in and of itself, too. I am grateful for the legacy he has passed on to his son, as I’ve witnessed how he loves and takes care of my friend so sweetly. Mr. Wood will be severely missed, but I imagine the Lord was very pleased with his time here on Earth.

He helped me out after I got divorced with something to do with my Children and he would not take his consult fee. His children and mine all attended the same school. He was a kind and gentle trust worthy man. Not many like him
