Christopher's obituary

Christopher "Ryan" Wares, 37, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on September 17, 2025.

Ryan was born on July 29, 1988 to Shelly Dawn Beltz and Michael Chris Wares in Shawnee, Oklahoma. 

He attended Tecumseh High School. After High School, he worked several jobs and discovered that Welding was his true passion and talent. 

He loved working on cars, riding motorcycles, SxS and go-karts and anything that would go fast. He also enjoyed fishing, growing his own vegetables and caring of his dogs and chickens. Music was another great love of his life. 

Ryan was preceded in death by his Papaw Joesph Wares, Papa Fred Ernst, Grandpa Larry Bowden, Aunt Misty Bowden, Uncle Steven Bowden, and Uncle Brian Wares.

Ryan is survived by his mother, Shelly Beltz; father, Chris Wares; sister, Shannon Amstutz, and brother-in-law, Zane Amstutz; nephew, Lane Amstutz; grandmothers, Cheryl Ernst, Marie Wares, and Sharon Sponseller and husband Glen Sponseller; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was also survived by former girlfriend Carrie Reddin and her two daughters Temperance and Paisley. Ryan leaves behind close friends Including Trey King, Logan Gilbert, and Ryan Blankenship.

Ryan will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love of family and friends, and the passion he put into everything he did.  

A celebration of Ryan's life will be held on October 4th, 2025, at 10am at Open Door Church of God, 1200 N. Tucker, Shawnee, Oklahoma, with family and friends invited to attend.
