Christopher's obituary

Christopher Lorenzo Vaughan died July 24, 2019 after a long battle with kidney disease and diabetes.

Chris was an avid reader and regular at the used bookstore filling his mind with a wealth of knowledge on several subjects. He spent many late nights at the diner talking, debating, joking with and consoling those he cared for.

He was also a skilled guitarist and a lover of philosophical debates. Most of all, he was deeply devoted and loyal to his friends - many of whom were like family to him.

Chris was the longest serving Trustee of the Clifton Old School Baptist Church. His father and Grandfather were both Elders of the church. It's been said that as a child Chris spent many Sunday’s fidgeting in the back of the church on the “miserable old pews”.

Chris was preceded by his father Lorenzo Vaughan and mother Martha Duncan Vaughan. He is survived by family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his countless friends and loved ones.

Services and burial will be held at Noon, August 10, 2019 at Cub Run Memorial Garden in Centreville, VA. The family welcomes all friends and loved ones to join and participate in the services.

An informal gathering in his honor was held July 26, 2019 at the Manassas Denny's, one of his favorite hang outs and where he met many of his friends.
