Jill, Dane, Brent and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Chris was one in a million. We were blessed to call him a friend for 40+ years and have so, so many wonderful memories. His one liners, his jokes, his handshake, his Elvis imitations are all classic Shannonisms. We already miss him.
With our love and deepest sympathy,
Greg and Sandy

Dear Jill, Dane and Brent.
The passing away of Chris saddens all of us deeply. It also brings back so many fond memories of our family summer vacations together with yours on Morning street in unique and beautiful Higgins Beach. Appetizers and drinks on the beach, 4th of July parades, high and low tide atmospheres, chats in your screened front porch, paddle ball tournaments, Jill and her proverbial "Bonjour", pictures of everyone at the "Wall" on the last morning...
Chris always had something to do at the house and generally we saw him at the Beach only when the surfers and the dog walkers appeared at low tide. That's when I had my best chats with him. It was also then that he gave baseball tips to Eugénie. He was very close to Eugénie and Magalie.
Actually he was always upbeat and kind to all members of our family, from our daughters to JP and Aline and not to forget Nathalie and Cyril . Manon just mentioned to me that Chris' smile and warm welcome remarks were the smile and warmth of Higgins Beach for her. Jill, you were the life of the party but Chris was not far behind. Dane and Brent, you know your dad was a true gentleman. I am sure he inspired you in more ways then one.
Be sure to know Chris has a very special place in our hearts, here north of the border!
Jill, I am so glad you and Chris took the time one year to come and see us in Montréal !
On behalf of the Lépine Blondeau family please accept our deepest condolences.

Chris better known in our household as"Akela" was a remarkable man. His involvement with the Boy Scouts many years ago and the great job he did with his son Dane and my son Justin earned him that title. The one memory I have always had of Chris was the care he gave his mother who at the time was at the Rochester Manor. Every night Chris would be there feeding her as he patiently waited as she would fall asleep between bites. Both Jean Anne and I send our prayers and sincerest condolences to Jill, Dane, Brent and their families.

Beautifully said, and happy to have shared 25 summers with a loving and caring man that my children laughed and learned from. (Hippy Handshake will live on)
Such an amazing soul, we always took an annual summer picture together, I’m deeply sad this was our last on July 4th of last year.
Rest in peace my friend and we shall meet again.
