I am Christopher's Mom. It has been a difficult 2 years since Chris passed on this day, October 17, 2023. I don't know how I got through it, looking back. It is still a struggle some days. My Mother passed in July this year, Chris' Grandma Wini. She passed on Chris' birthday, ironically, July 8, 2025. Chris would have been 37, but he is forever 35.
Last year on October 17th Chris' siblings, Mary and Nick and I got together in Chico to be together. We saw the new Beetlejuice movie in honor of Chris. The original Beetlejuice movie was one of his favorites growing up. We painted memorial rocks for Chris and told funny stories, about some of the things he did when he was growing up.
This year we are going to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm in Wheatland, he went there a lot as a kid. I have many happy memories of him running around there every year. Going there on Saturday the 18th as Nick has to work.
I have been going to www.griefshare.org groups in person with my brother Will. They are 13 weeks long. This is my second time. The cost is free, and a donation accepted for workbook. I highly recommend the groups when you lose a loved one. Get support, you are worth it!
If you are reading this, and thinking about Chris, know he is with the Lord. We will all join him in the blink of an eye. Enjoy the time you have on this Earth, love yourself, love others, and get help if you have an addiction. Chris passed of an overdose of fentanyl, but you don't have to. There is a way out. Love you.
