Christopher's obituary

Christopher Nick Patelos was a father of two beautiful children. A daughter named Bella and a son named Kai. Even though he may not have been able to spend much time with them in this lifetime, he will forever be remembered by the faces his children carry. They look so much like him, it is truly a blessing to know his face is still walking around on this Earth .

Christopher was staying at a place far from home when his Angels came to take him. The spirits of his parents and mimi were there to guide him to the light into Heavens door.

It feels that he was taken too soon and left many of us in disbelief and grief stricken.

Yet we know Chris is watching over his loved ones and will continue to dance in the heavens with his family that has passed before him. His predeceased parents Angela and Nick along with his beloved Mimi; Evelyn Fay.

Christopher leaves behind his two children as well as his brother Jason along with his many immediate and extended family members. His family loved him no matter what and always wanted the absolute best for him. They were truly hopeful that life would change for the better.

Christopher lived a life many of us would not envy. He lost his parents at a young age and he was raised by his grandmother through the years. And though times could be tough, Chris always had a way to bring light and life to everyone near. He had a smile sweet as icing and a heart made of gold. He truly loved people and he loved to feel loved and welcome. Chris was an eccentric man and knew how to make people laugh. He loved music and homemade food. He had such a sweet tooth and I remember how he would enjoy popsicles with the kids on a hot sunny day. He was young at heart and never grew up. He loved RC cars and could make them go so fast, he would adjust the generals and taken them apart just to put them together again. He had a need for speed and he loved cars and motorcycles. He lived the fast life and the adrenaline rush was nothing foreign to him. He was so bright and he had such a knack for science and numbers. He had learned from his grandfather Johnny how to work on cars. He loved customizing his vehicles to show them off. It really brings back great memories that I hope everyone who knew him can share and relate to. He was truly loved by his many friends and family.

His family. Where his heart yearned to be resides in Wilmington, North Carolina.

No matter where you were; we know where you are now. Rest in peace darling. And know now that; life is a journey and some journeys fall short. Some journeys fall hard. And some journeys take us places we never thought we would go. But all journeys will lead us back home, and home is where you are.

_____✍️

Don’t think of him as gone away

his journey’s just begun,

life holds so many facets

this earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting

from the sorrows and the tears

in a place of warmth and comfort

where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing

that we could know today

how nothing but our sadness

can really pass away.

And think of him as living

in the hearts of those he touched…

for nothing loved is ever lost

and he was loved so much.

In loving memory of Christopher Patelos.
