Christopher's obituary
General Christopher Moro, 96 passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family on April 8, 2023. Christopher was a decorated veteran who served in the Korean War, Vietnam War and Desert Shield and spent another 4 years in reserves/active duty.
Christopher was born on in Rome Italy to his parents Maria and Johnny Moro. When he was just 18, Christopher decided he wanted to join the military and was stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. Christopher would go on to serve in the war with some of his closest friends. After serving in War, Christopher spent time in California. During his time in San Francisco, he met and fell for Christina, who he soon married. Christopher and Christina chose to settle in the town of Long Beach California. After moving to Long Beach, They had 6 children together. Christina lost her battle to cancer leaving Christopher to raise his children on his own. He relocated to Long Island New York and raised his family there. Christopher is survived by his two daughters Melissa and Sarah his sons Christopher Jr, Mark, Johnny and James, his grandchildren Michael, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Gracie, Anthony Jr, Luca, Emily, James Jr, Mark, Samantha, Maria, Joey and the upcoming arrivals of Baby girl Zayas and Baby boy Kenney.
The family requests that no flowers be sent instead to donate to the Wounded Warrior project and the Veterans. There will be a private funeral service held at National Funeral Homes on April 11, 2023.
Christopher was a giving man who would give you the shirt off his back. He enjoyed his time with his family and loved talking about war stories.
Christopher lived a long life filled with memories his family will never forget.
