To Chris's family, take pride in knowing what a great, kind and caring person. My condolences. 😇🙏😇🙏

I'm sorry to read this and sorry I'm just now seeing it.   Chris was my roommate during the first semester of our freshman year at Brown; we were a black guy from inner-city Kansas City MO (me), and a white guy from Sayville, Long Island who came with different experiences but one thing we had in common was that we were both from large families (in our first conversation I told him I was one of seven kids and his response was, "I got you beat by one, are you Catholic too?").   I'd sleep at night while he studied with the engineering majors down the hall; I'd leave for class in the morning and wake him up when I'd get back to the dorm after lunch.   He moved down the hall when one of the other all-niters left school before Christmas, and we remained friendly throughout our Brown years.   The last time I saw him was in the mid 80s when we were both back at Brown for a re-union, and we met each other with our usual greetings, "Hey C. K!" and "Hey C. M.!".    I'd occasionally think of him and hoped/presumed he was well and happy.   It was tough reading this obituary, but I'm glad he lived a good and productive life and touched so many people in kind and mysterious/funny ways.   My condolences to, and prayers for, his family and loved ones.

Blessings,

Sorry to all his immediate family. As a younger brother, I have been the recipient of his loving comments, and encouragement from age 5 until 20 years old. As I have heard him say on Facebook, life is a series of moments. Add them up and you can understand his remarkable value to everyone he has interacted with in his life.

I wish eternal peace for him. The creativity and self discipline he embodied was top notch. I will take his memories with me and wish his children to be proud of their Dad, because their is no one that can match his intellect and trustworthiness!

I trust he will be loved always.

I feel lucky to have had Chris as a neighbor. He was always friendly and cheerful, no matter what was happening in the world. I will always remember the special kindness he showed to William.

I am very sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful man.

Dear Tina, Callie, Quest and Keel, Please accept our deepest condolences on Chris's passing from Lyn and myself. We hope that you will hold precious memories of Chris and that these will provide some comfort for your loss.
Chris was my friend.  I will miss him.  I hope your family heals quickly.
Story and I are sending your family our love during this difficult time.

Tina and Family – We send our condolences on Chris’ passing. We are closer friends with Tina, so we didn’t know Chris personally, but all the stories about his brilliance and whimsicalness are true. We remember when we read in the National news about Chris adding the “hear a duck quack” option when calling NDB. Bill called it several times! He was clearly the right person to head up NDB.

Chris always had ideas. During the turn of the millennium, he advertised selling plastic time capsules. “Buy a stock of Microsoft and leave it for 300 years!”, we think one advertisement read. We don’t know how many he sold, but it was a great idea. We attended their wedding and remember they took a motorbike from the ceremony to the reception. Tina wore her wedding dress on the ride!

The world needs creative minds like Chris. And, we’re sure Chris lives on in Callie, Quest, and Keel and they will contribute much during their lives.

A lovely man and good friend to all. God bless him.
