Chris and I were friends since the 6th grade. We were actually more than friends we were brothers. We used to ride home together everyday from school or basketball practice or football practice etc... We had countless of good times and memories together. we were always there for each other in good times and hard times in life. When my house caught on fire and I had no where else to go. Chris and his aunt took me in and gave me a place to live until I could get back on my feet. He had a good heart and a type of spirit that could light up a room. Chris was the best man in my wedding and the one of the best friends anyone could ever have. He was truly one of a kind. And I’m going to miss him
Just a few memories that came to mind this morning....
1) Outside of my sister, Chris was the first person to visit me after my divorce. He took me for Mexican food and made me laugh. It turns out he put it on his calendar and just showed up.
2) When I had another friend sick with cancer, he asked me how she was almost everyday. He let me cry and express my sadness even though he was on his own journey with cancer.
3) When I would join him for treatment at the hospital, we would often create little "improv scenes" in the elevator and hallway to make each other laugh. Hence my nickname for him, Big Daddy - a character that will live on forever. (P.S. I think Chris saw more of my improv shows than any other friend)

Chris had such an amazing soul. He was always so willing to help out the students at lee college. He helped me out quite a few times. However, he also became a friend. He always had away of making everyone smile. I will truly miss him.

Your smile, warmth, passion, dedication, compassion and commitment gives me an assurance that you will receive your crown. Your life was necessary and because of it many lives will never be the same.....you got it done and you made it happen!!!!!! You have left a permanent imprint on our hearts. I’m so thankful God allowed our paths to cross. Peace, blessing and comfort to the family.

Chris, I will miss having you sit across from me, your laughter, smile, and walking into the office in your different Michael Jordon tennis shoes. :) I've seen you inspire and lifted many students even when you were in pain. I will forever miss you, my friend; I know you gave it your all. May you rest in peace.
Chris was a warm, thoughtful young man who spent each day at Lee College focusing on the needs of others rather than his own. His absence will leave a void at Lee, but the legacy he leaves is profound. My sincere condolences to the McClure family in this difficult time.
