We mourn the loss of Christopher Hill, a cherished patriarch, who passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2024. Born on March 13, 1938, he lived a long and fulfilling life before leaving this world at the age of 86. His wisdom, strength, and loving spirit will be deeply missed.

Christopher's life was defined by several accomplishments. He was a beacon of unwavering support, continually showing great love for his family. His presence in the lives of his loved ones was irreplaceable and his absence will be deeply felt.

Christopher is survived by his wife Linda Hill and their three daughters, Karell Carruthers, Keisha Wright, and Marilyn Stokes, who will continue to honor his legacy. His life will further be cherished by his seven grandchildren, Kathryne Carruthers, Myracle Stokes, Brittany Wright, Laquan Wright, Alexa Wright, Carmelo Stokes, and Elijah Carruthers, and his grandson, Preston Young. Each of them will remember him for his kindness, his warm-hearted laughter, and his ceaseless devotion to family.

We extend our sympathy to the family and friends of Christopher Hill. May you find solace in remembering the joy and love he brought into your lives. Though he is no longer with us, his memory lives on in those who knew him.

Funeral services are as follows: Visitation Saturday, April 13, 2023 from 8 to 9:30 a.m, Rosary at 9:30 a.m and Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church at 3912 Gus Young Ave. Services entrusted to Desselle Funeral Home, 263 Eddie Robinson Sr. Drive, Baton Rouge, La. 70802.
