Christopher's obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Christopher
Allen Hetkes, lovingly known to many as Chris or Woodstock, but who preferred Woodstock.
Born on December 20, 1990, Christopher left us too soon on March 9, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and a wonderful friendship.
Christopher was best known for his funny, kind, and friendly demeanor. His laughter was infectious, his willingness to lend a hand remarkable, and his kindness undeniable.
He reminded us all to be nice and offer help even when we hadn't much to give ourselves, exemplifying the belief that it was the gesture and not the size of the gift that mattered most.
A lover of pizza and Dollar Tree burgers, Christopher took delight in the simple pleasures of life. His taste in music was eclectic and timeless, showing admiration for bands like Sleeping With Sirens, Tool, and Skitz Kraven.
His favorite pastimes ranged from working out to skateboarding to riding his bike, from listening to music to diligently working, and from spending time with his girlfriend to playing his favorite game... Boosting.
Some of his favorite local spots included the laid-back Old School Pizza, the humble Car Wash, and the bustling Wal-Mart. But it wasn't just these physical places that held his interest.
Christopher had dreams and aspirations. He had the goal of becoming a father someday - a dream that remained close to his heart until his untimely passing.
Christopher's accomplishments were a testament to his character. Despite his past, he was proud of getting and maintaining his recent job, embarking on a more stable path since his release from prison, and was excited about receiving his driver's license shortly.
Each accomplishment marked a milestone on his journey to personal growth and self-improvement.
Christopher will be deeply missed for his wonderful sense of humor, his unyielding kindness, and the genuine warmth he extended to all who knew him.
His absence will be felt in the places he loved, the music he adored, and the dreams he nurtured. We find comfort in the thought that even though he is no longer with us, his legacy of kindness, generosity, and friendly spirit continues to live on in our hearts.
