Christopher Adkins, 61, of Woodstock, GA, passed away on August 22, 2023.

Chris was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Elbert “Billy” Adkins and Nancy Leola Register White. Chris grew up with his first wife, Helen, and they raised their son, Jesse, and daughter, Brandy together until the kids were teenagers. Chris worked for Ryder Truck Rental for most of his young adult life. He could often be found working on cars, coaching baseball teams, or bowling on leagues at the local alley. Chris met and married his late wife, LaRita, in 2000. They worked together at Morgan ACE Hardware until her passing in 2019. Chris remained employed with ACE Hardware until his passing. Chris loved his family fiercely and loved to cook and grill. He loved when his kids and grandkids would come to visit and referred to those as the best of days.  

Chris was predeceased by his dad Billy, his mom Nancy, and his wife LaRita. Chris leaves behind his son Jesse Adkins (Valerie), daughter Brandy Kelley (Kevin), step-son Kenneth Farmer, step-daughter Rachael Farmer, grandsons Jacob and Christopher Adkins, Connor Kelley, Jeremiah and David Farmer, and granddaughters Leigha Kelley and Emilee Farmer. Chris also leaves behind his siblings Karen Webb (David), Keith Adkins, and Laura Shook along with many extended family members and close friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 2nd at 2PM at Real Life Christian Church (7700 Highway 92, Woodstock GA 30189). In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
