So very sorry to learn recently about Christof's passing.  My thoughts are with Kate and his family.  I was a fellow student and quartet member with Christof at St. Louis Conservatory - he had a strong mind and will, and a wonderful sense of humor.

I am still in shock, even knowing about his fight .....Christof was one of a kind, and I learned so much from his musicianship, knowledge and commitment to music and the Walden Chamber Players. Each and every concert trip was memorable. My deepest condolences, Kate!
Fond memories of when Christof came to our house to give our son Rennie lessons, arriving sometimes on his motorcycle or in the VW Golf with his Corgi. Also such wonderful Walden Chamber concerts around Greater Boston. Although I didn’t see much of him in later years, I like so many others, feel a great sense of loss, he was a person with a great zest for life.
All of us at Orpheus are profoundly sad to lose our dear colleague, Christof.  He brought so much to the group--and with such sincerity and humor! It was such an honor to share the stage with him for so many years; Orpheus won't be the same without his unique presence. My sincerest condolences go out to Kate and his loved ones.
Christof was a wonderful and insistent Orpheus member-- part of the never-to-be-copied, beautiful and unique sound of Orpheus.  We will miss him in so many ways.  My deep sympathy to his family.

My sincere condolences

I guess we shared your last icecream on Schwedenplatz in Vienna with your sister Dorothea and your wife

Dear Kate, I am sending my deepest condolences to you and all your family on the passing of your husband, Christof.  Christof and I met through his ensemble Walden Chamber Players. I have wonderful memories of enjoying time with Christof and the composer Alvin Singleton when Walden gave the premiere of Alvin's piece "Almost A Boogie." Sending love, Norman Ryan

Kate, I was so sorry to hear about your loss of Christof. David & I are with you

Sincerely, David & Dian e

Kate,

I am so sad to hear this news. I loved hearing you talk about your life together and your love for Christof in our carpools - it made me so happy to hear how much you enjoyed each other and how proud you were of him. Sending love and prayers for you and all of Christof's friends and family.

John

My deepest condolences to Christof's family. I first met Christof when he graciously opened his home to me over the summer while I was a student intern at Johns Hopkins and the NIH. From the moment I arrived, I was met with his incredible hospitality and warmth. He was a kind-hearted person who took every opportunity to share his love for Baltimore, its history, and its rich cultural arts community. Though my time as a visitor was brief, his generosity and kindness left a lasting impression. His spirit of openness and passion for sharing knowledge will always be remembered.

To Christof's Family, Kindly accept my sincere condolences with the passing of Chris.  I met Chris at our local Watertown Cigar Store, S&A, and talk about everything under the sun.  I also attended a number of his concerts.  Chris was so talented and such a gentleman.
