Christine, I think of you so often while in the studio. You were just the brightest of all stars. Always made me feel important. Always a smile on your face. Always asked the right questions. Always told me to relax my face while working out....meaning to smile. :) The world is not the same without you. I touch your photo often when walking down the hall at the studio just to absorb some of your goodness. You are missed.

I miss this shining light so often. I feel her spirit in the studio and how she would so sweetly re-align me, how her smile egged me on when I was exhausted, and her "Good Job Janet!" would last me all day long. Sweet Friend.

Christine's act of kindness toward me was to teach me her methods with patience and humor. She made me feel so special every single time I came to class- always rushed and late and harried. Her welcome of me, with her greeting, her smile, calmed me and made me feel a part of her process. It gave me an anchor for starting my days, and made class such a deep part of my life. I miss her so consistently- she really entered my heart and will be there always.

I am so sorry to hear of Christine’s passing. When we moved to Lafayette she was so kind and welcomed me in to the studio. She always encouraged me through a class even if I wasn’t doing it right😊.
Many prayers to her family. ❤️

Alicia, thank you for sharing this vimeo of our dear one. It perfectly captured her spirit. I felt so happy while watching it. I was heartbroken to miss this last celebration, and will miss the one this weekend, too. But my heart is there with you, thinking of you all.

I miss you! I would usually arrive early and you would oftentimes greet me at the door and tell me, "I'll sign you in Glenn." You had an infectious smile as do many of the Dailey Method instructors. It is what makes coming there addictive. You were always patient. "Start with your right leg...no your other right leg Glenn." you would turn me square to the bar, make me stand-up straight, raise my heels higher, and you never complained or acted like it was a bother when we went through the same corrections in the next day's class. I'm not a star pupil...ha! ha! If you told us to breath in on the way down and exhale on the way up, I was surely doing the opposite, but you persevered and so I did.
My favorite memory was doing round back against the wall and you told us " raise our legs and try to touch the bar with your toes." When my legs were sticking out at a 40 degree angle, you said "raise them higher Glenn." When they went to a 42 degree angle, you said once again, "raise then higher Glenn." When I only managed to get them to about a 45 degree angle you chuckled with me and we moved forward as if I was in perfect conformance with the class.
Despite all my imperfections, I found myself getting more flexible, a better sense of balance, and found the hour flew by each day.
Today round-back has become one of my favorite exercises because it's the one that reminds be most of you! I don't want to feel sorry with that memory but want to continue to smile and chuckle, remembering your infectious smile and the true pleasure it was to know you.
My condolences to your family!

On a Wednesday morning at The Dailey Method and I distinctly remember how easily and effortlessly Christine demonstrated tricep dips. Christine was goddess-like in her presence and her physique and the more I grew to know her, I adored and admired her selflessness and kindess and genuine goodness. Christine was an inspiration to me everytime I was with her...even when she needed support, she was still giving and inspiring. It is unfair that she is gone. She was an angel on earth and I miss her more and more every day. But I am so grateful and blessed that I was a part of her life...even if it was way too short.
In response to "How did you first meet Christine?"

Sending my deepest condolences to Christine's family. Whenever I saw Christine she was always smiling. More than being an incredible teacher, she was just such a good person with a kind heart. In one of my last correspondences with Christine via email, she shared how proud she was of her daughter, Ellie, who had just graduated from high school and how excited she was for Ellie's next chapter in college. I am grateful that I was lucky enough to have known her.
