Christina's obituary

Christina Ann Threlkeld Whetstine

July 20, 1980 – April 6, 2026

With profound sorrow and enduring love, we announce the passing of Christina Ann Threlkeld Whetstine, who departed this life on April 6, 2026, at the age of 45, following a sudden medical emergency at her home.

Born on July 20, 1980, in Lakewood, Colorado, Christina was a lifelong Coloradan whose life was defined by her unwavering devotion to her family, her genuine kindness, and the quiet strength and grace she carried in all she did. A 1998 graduate of Green Mountain High School, she went on to build a life centered on love, connection, and caring deeply for those around her.

On October 3, 2008, Christina married her beloved husband and best friend, Caleb Whetstine. Together, they shared 18 wonderful years of marriage—years marked by deep companionship, laughter, and a love that grew stronger with each passing day. She was a devoted and nurturing mother to her sons, Brayden and Dylan, who were the greatest joys of her life and the center of her heart. Her love for them was boundless and evident in everything she did.

Christina was a woman of extraordinary warmth and sincerity. She possessed a gentle spirit, a compassionate heart, and an innate ability to make others feel seen, safe, and truly valued. Her sweet, unmistakable giggle and radiant smile could light up any room, and her presence brought comfort and ease to all who knew her. She was loyal, thoughtful, intelligent, and genuine—a constant and steady source of love and support.

She found joy in life’s simplest yet most meaningful moments: preparing meals for those she loved, spending cherished time with family and friends, camping beneath Colorado’s open skies, and recently embracing a love for yoga. She treasured her friendships deeply and shared a special bond with her beloved dogs, Wiggles and Luna. Even though she was a proud mother of two boys, she cherished the opportunity to enjoy “girly” moments with her mother and close friends—laughing, connecting, and celebrating life’s small but meaningful joys.

Christina was preceded in death by her father, Charles Threlkeld, and her brother-in-law, Michael Whetstine.

She is lovingly remembered and survived by her husband, Caleb Whetstine; her sons, Brayden and Dylan Whetstine; her mother, Sharon Threlkeld; her brothers, Dane Threlkeld and Doug Threlkeld; and her nieces and nephew, Taylor Threlkeld, Lauren Threlkeld, Spencer Threlkeld, and Katey Threlkeld, along with many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by her presence.

A service to celebrate Christina’s life will be held at a later date.
