Christian's obituary

On December 21, 2019 at the tender age of 22, Christian Rouse went on to be with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Christian was the son of T. Lee Rouse, he was born September 23, 1997 in Pittsburgh, PA. and raised in Shadyside.
Christian attended Saint Agnes Catholic School, Sterrett Middle School and graduated from Taylor Allderdice where he was a teaching assistant to Mr. Seagirt in the HVAC department. Upon graduation in 2016, Christian was honored with a Pittsburgh Promise Scholarship. He used it to attend CCAC where he studied both business and HVAC. He planned on starting his own company. He worked for the Ladies Hospital Aid Society at UPMC for five years and at the Dollar Tree for a few months.
Christian was thoughtful and loving and from an early age he had a desire to help others. He believed in community and was taught to give back. Starting at age 12 he became an avid volunteer. He volunteered for The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Jubilee Kitchen, Mulberry Community Church, PGH, and UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Christian had also been a member of Big Brothers and Sisters, the local boys and girls Club and First Tee of Pittsburgh.
During summers while in high school, he liked to golf and attended classes at the Duquesne University Summer Institute Program. In the Fall of 2016 Christian started a GrassRoots Organization called HOM-GRO which was instrumental in growing support for the KELLY-HAMILTON houses; a development of mixed income housing units.
GOD must have had a new assignment for Christian, he was taken from our lives far too soon. All we can think about is how he didn’t get a chance to marry or have children or get his first tattoo. But when Christian was only 3 years old out of the blue he proclaimed that when he grew up he wanted to change his name to Jesus and when asked why, he stated “because I love GOD. “ It’s his time to fly high so let him go.
Christian leaves to mourn his Mother T. Lee Rouse, PA. Step-Father Lloyd Oliver, PA. Sister Dontesha Rouse, PA. Brother Michael Rouse, PA. Step-Sister Gisell Oliver, Georgia. Uncle - Paul Rouse PA. Nephews: Tyhir Royster, PA. Tyler Royster, TN. Michael Rouse jr., PA. Niece Anaiylah Rouse, PA, and a host of Cousins and Friends.
