Christian David Matsumoto, 31, of Berlin, CT suddenly passed November 24th, 2023.

Christian was born on August 25th, 1992 to Heidi Chaples and Kevin Matsumoto in San Diego, CA. Christian learned to fish with his great grandfather Howard and great uncle Butch before he could walk. Thus began his love for the outdoors.

After graduating from Steele Canyon High School in 2010, Christian went on to work in the trades. Christian’s natural leadership qualities led him to become a foreman.

In 2013 Christian met the love of his life, Bianca Boyd. The two of them welcomed their beautiful son, Howard in 2016.

Christian is remembered most for his big heart and fearless nature. He enjoyed hunting and fishing when he wasn’t going on adventures with his beautiful family. He always seemed to catch the biggest fish or best game. He was a natural leader and seemed to be the best at anything he tried.

He lived life to the fullest, on his own terms, always. Christian had a special place in his heart towards family and those he chose as family.

Christian is survived by his parents, Kevin and Shauna Matsumoto, Heidi and Tony Peters; His loving wife, Bianca; his only son, Howard; his sisters, Morgan, Summer, Elizabeth, Vivienne; his brothers, Bradley and Jacob. Plus many, many more.

Service for Christian will be at Trinity Church in Spring Valley. The memorial service will be held December 9th at 2 pm.
