Hard to believe it’s been 4 years. Serenity is 17 and driving,  singing her heart out like her momma.  Leeland plays the cornet in band. They are doing well. I know this isn’t a memory about her, but letting others know the kids are doing fine.

You know the one thing that sticks with me is Christa's singing. She had the only voice that would give me goosebumps every time she sang. She had a truly amazing voice.

I was so chocked up I wasn't able to share some of our most memorable times together.
The Swan(total inside joke) , the "Hit me with your best shot" Christa, mom and I did during a time of boy issues that freaked Jimmy out. All our gibberish that confused everyone. Our trip to Louisiana where Christa and I spent nearly 100 dollars beating Resident Evil in the arcade( We were too underage for casino time).

The time she held my hand during my prognosis for my cyst in my brain. Where funnily the tech thought she was my "Partner ". The time her and I head Leland's heartbeat for the first time in months. When he wasn't moving. One of the greatest moments of my life was us holding each other and crying hearing his life.
The fact that I had my problems, she never gave up on me and vise versa. She was my everything. I love her so much. Thank you Christa for the best memories and experiences a sister could ever ask for. I have sooooo many more I can. I leave with this, you were my light, in the dark. As I for you. You gave me hope when I thought all was lost. You were always an honorary Owen. You know that. I feel you're gone too soon but I know God has his plans and I will see you again. Tell Becca and Johnna hi for me. I love you more than you know.

I am overwhelmed with the love shown to my baby girl. Honestly words are so pale to say to express my thanks. The service, I believe and what I’ve heard from others, went very well and was a beautiful honor to Christa and her Lord Jesus Christ. Any who wanted to share had the freedom to do so. The video pictures, music and message honored her well. There was laughing and crying but most of all there was the love that permeated the room. Leeland stood up like the little man that he is and shared his love for his mommy, not a dry eye was seen. There was so much food left over we were handing out baggies to everyone to PLEASE take some food. Lol This is my feeble attempt to say thank you to you all. I love you all and thank you deeply for your gifts, your talents in putting together this tribute to Christa’s life and those who were able to attend, your presence.
