August 12, 2023, Christopher Fredrick Olson, 45, of Troy, MO, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO under the careful watch of his brothers and with his brother Paul at his side.

Chris, the third of four children born on July 17, 1978 to Loretta Lautrizo Olson Byrne and third son to Donald Olson. Growing up in Waukegan, IL, Chris would bring his younger brother, Ricky, around town to the comic shop, the local parks, and the 7-11 for video games and Slurpees. His brothers, Ed, Paul, and Ricky will always have fond memories of the many times their mother took them all to beaches on Lake Michigan to play in the sand, swim, and fish. They also spent many summers in Wisconsin with their grandmother, Lena, where they were welcomed by many family friends to swim or to see the different animals while exploring their farms.

Chris worked a number of jobs, including as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). As a CNA, he was loved by both residents and co-workers because of his kindness and approachability with people of all walks of life. His interests included spending time with family and friends, gaming, and going for walks. He stayed connected to family, living with multiple family members throughout his life. Chris moved to Missouri and spent his most recent years in the company of extended family, including his step-brother Christopher.

Chris is survived by his brothers: Edward Olson, Paul Olson, and Ricky Byrne; sisters-in-law: Betty Olson and Sunghee Lim; nephew: Nick Olson; nieces: Elin Olson and Grace Byrne; aunt: Jean Olson; step-father: Jim Byrne. He was predeceased by his mother, Loretta Olson Byrne; father, Donald Olson; grandmother, Lena Olson; grandfather, Francis Olson; and uncle, Tom Olson.
