Chiyoko “Chiyo” (Miyamura) Herrera died March 5, 2003 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born January 18, 1920 in Kumamoto, Japan to Yaichi and Tori (Matsukawa) Miyamura. She was brought to the United States at the age of 22 months in late 1921. She was a life long resident of Gallup, New Mexico. Chiyo was a member of the Legion of Mary and Sacred Heart Cathedral.
