…never forgotten, always in my heart.

Cheryl was the best friend anyone could have!

Just yesterday i was thinking about my sister when i was baking cookies.  She just loved baking, me on the other hand liked savory vs sweets so we made a good combo.   I made dinner, she brought dessert.   I miss her, and tear when i think of how lonely i am without our conversations.   I love you Cheryl to the moon and back and miss you even longer.
I'm saddened to learn of Cheryl's passing. I met her numerous times at family gatherings, probably most recently at Marquette in the 1990s during (I think) Finn Fest weekend. After a nice fish fry we chatted while wondering where the boys wandered off to! Condolences to John, Erik and Kelsey.

Cheryl always tried to help and encourage me to be organized with my collections. I collect many different things…including dust bunnies!

Unfortunately, I have some ‘perfectionist’ tendencies which made it hard to actually feel that I had finished projects/organizing to my satisfaction.

I will never forget her motto which she repeated often…’Done is better than perfect’.

That saying should be cross stitched and hung in a prominent place.

Gary and I are so sad to lose our dear friends Cheryl and John. We’ve had many fun times together over the years. Cheryl and I grew up in International Falls together, played violin in the orchestra together and decided to attend Moorhead State College together as roommates. We’ve kept in touch over the years, attended our weddings, enjoyed seeing our families grow and change. We visited each other in Chicago and Burnsville.  We traveled together. I’m heartbroken to lose my dear friends.

My condolences to the family and other friends. And especially Kelsey and Erik. You two had parents that adored you and each other. Hugs to you both. ❤️❤️

We are so sorry to hear about your loss of your mother. I only met Cheryl a few times but heard a lot about her especially the earlier years since I am a very close friend with Sherrie Donaldson. I actually also went to Moorhead State College but for only one year and then transferred to the U of M in Minneapolis. I was a freshman when I remember seeing Cheryl and a couple of her close friends all the time. They were Sophmores at the time.  Our dorms were next to each other. I never met them then, but they always seem to be laughing or having fun. Little did I know that I would recognize Sherri about 3 years later at the U of M when I actually met her.  Sherri’s first husband and my husband were in the same fraternity. So that is how I happened  later to meet your parents a few times when they were at the Donaldson’s home or weddings. I know this hit my friend Sherri very hard loosing one of her oldest and dearest friends. I know it is difficult to loose parents no matter at what age. I was in my later 30’s when I lost both my parents. Take care.
