Renate was a truly amazing soul! She most definitely lit up every room she joined. It was an honor and a blessing that she found sanctuary in Healing One 🙏 she was a member with us for many years and always brought so much life and love to our center and community! It has taken 5 days for me to get it together enough to write this:

I’ll never forget the very first time I saw Renate assist in transporting a patient into PACU from the OR. This woman was filled with confidence, caring, protectiveness for her patients and a smile that would brighten any room!! She spent time with the RN’s during handoff from the OR to make sure her patients were doing well before she left their side. I don’t think she ever passed me in the hallway without giving me one of her big bright smile. Renate had a heart of love bigger than can be measured. She always spoke of her children with so much endearment, talking about their adventures together.

I will forever miss our talks, our walks and our dining adventures. Renate…you are missed among many my beautiful friend. Your leaving this earth has created a huge space that will never be filled. That said, I will honor you by learning to put into practice the example of your bright spirit, your beautiful smile, your passion for life and positive outlook. Thank you for the time you so willingly gave.
