Cheryl's obituary
Cheryl Ann Peasley, 64, of Apopka, Florida, passed away on March 21, 2023 after battling breast cancer.
Cheryl was born on May 4, 1958 to Lawrence and Delores Rice in St. Joseph, Michigan. After Cheryl graduated from Collegedale Academy in 1977, she went on to study Nursing at Southern Adventist University. During that time, Cheryl toured as a violinist in the SAU Symphony Orchestra, performing in parts of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Japan, China, Singapore, and Thailand. After graduating and obtaining her nursing license in 1981, Cheryl relocated to work at Florida Adventist Hospital, now AdventHealth Orlando.
In 1982, Cheryl met Thomas Clark at a local bike shop in Orlando, Florida. They married in 1983. Cheryl and Tom went on to have three children, Thomas, Stefanie, and Andrea Clark. Cheryl and Tom later divorced. In 1996, Cheryl remarried to Kenneth Peasley. They divorced in 2010. Cheryl dedicated her time away from work ensuring her children knew their extended family with annual road trips to Tennessee and flying as far as California to visit with loved ones.
Cheryl was also an active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She participated in the choir as well as Women’s Ministries. Cheryl remained a passionate violinist, and was a member of the Maitland Symphony Orchestra and Sabbath Strings group. She often played in seasonal concerts, church services, and many other events throughout Central Florida.
Cheryl was predeceased in death by her parents, Delores and Lawrence Rice. She is survived by her children, T.J. Clark, Stefanie Clark, and Andrea Apelbaum, and her sister’s family, Diane and Daryl Crane, Patrick and Andrea Crane and their children, Misty and Anthony Martinez and their children, Tiffany and Matthew Lawson, and Tabitha Crane.
