Cheryl Don-Ell Poddig Mayfield, 55, of Springfield, MO, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2023 with her loving husband Dewey at her side, after a long battle with cancer.
Cheryl was born on June 23, 1968 to George and Donna (Rechtiene) Poddig in San Diego, CA. She graduated from Parkview High School in 1986. While at Parkview, Cheryl was active in the Lassie's Drum and Bugle Corps. After high school, she worked various jobs but …
