Cheryl's obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl Jean “Charlie” Martin, age 72, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, on March 22, 2024. Cheryl was born on February 24, 1953, in New Berlin, Wisconsin, to a family who cherished her for her humor, warmth, and love of life.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, Rick Martin Sr., her son, Shawn Geiszler, and her step-children, Ricky and Hannah Martin, Rebecca and Joe Klupp. She was also the proud grandmother of William, Walter, Emmett, and Antonia Martin, and Kelsea Klupp, each of whom she adored.

A devoted animal lover, Cheryl’s life was full of compassion, and she found joy in caring for her beloved pet, Rudy, and communicating with friends and colleagues. Throughout her career, she was known for her dedication to customer service, having worked at Albrecht's Sentry Foods in Delafield, WI, and as a receptionist at the Grand Lodge of Wisconsin, where her warm smile and approachable nature made her a cherished member of the team.

Cheryl's greatest passion was her family. She was known for her sense of humor, down-to-earth nature, and unwavering love for her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone she touched.

A service celebrating Cheryl's life will be held in a few months with a time and location to be determined.
